Frank Heckler Celebrates 20th Anniversary; Family Business Marks 100 Years In Industry

Pittsburgh, PA — Comfort Supply Inc. celebrated its 20th anniversary with an open house and roast of its founder, Frank Heckler, on Sept. 22.

Frank, an engineer by training, founded the company in 1985 and was the president until 2000. While he still participates in company activities, his son, David, is now the president and owner.

The celebration included HVACR seminars and exhibition booths. The highlight of the evening was a roast of Frank Heckler by long-standing friends who worked with him over the years.

The celebration coincided with the 100th anniversary of the Hecklers in the HVACR business. Comfort Supply Inc. traces its origins to the Heckler Brothers Furnace Co. founded in 1905. Frank and David are the third and fourth generations in the industry.

Comfort Supply has received several awards for outstanding performance from its manufacturer partners including Comfortmaker, ICP Commercial, Mitsubishi, Buderus and Skymark.

David Heckler serves on the editorial board of HVACR Distribution Business magazine.
