Nu-Calgon Introduces Gel Tabs & Evap-Fresh

Article Tools

St. Louis, MO — Nu-Calgon is introducing Gel Tabs, a formulation with a breakthrough gel locking technology for treating air-conditioning drain pans and lines. They keep the drain pans from clogging and eliminate foul and musty odors. Gel Tabs are easy to use. Put them into the drain pan and forget about them. When activated by condensation, the tablet will turn to gel and lock into place. This ensures that the tab will not move and potentially block the drain. Gel Tabs dissolve at an even rate over a three-month period, leaving nothing to remove when the product is done working.

Four sizes are available: 3-ton, 5-ton, 15-ton and 20-ton tabs. Multiple Gel Tabs can be added to the pan to acquire the necessary treatment for larger systems.

Nu-Calgon is also introducing Evap-Fresh™, a novel product for both cleaning and disinfecting evaporator coils in one easy step. Evap-Fresh is a ready-to-use, nonabrasive, one-step cleaner and disinfectant for evaporator coils in small air conditioners, commercial air handling equipment, HVACR cooling coils and refrigeration equipment. It is one of the first products of its kind in the industry to receive EPA registration for such claims. Testing shows Evap-Fresh is effective via AOAC methodology against a wide variety of organisms such as Salmonella typhi, Salmonella choleraesuis, Escherichia coli and many more. It is also proven to kill HIV-1 (associated with AIDS), Hepatitis B Virus (HBV) and Hepatitis C Virus (HCV) on precleaned surfaces and objects. Evap-Fresh is available in two sizes; a one-gallon container and an 18-ounce aerosol can. The product requires no rinsing, and its formulation cuts grease and grime while deodorizing and disinfecting the evaporator coils.
