State Water Heaters Honors Hispanic Student with Scholarship

State Water Heaters recently awarded Angel Espericueta, a South Texas College student, with an academic scholarship to continue studies in the HVAC & Plumbing associate degree program.

The scholarship was awarded as part of State's Hispanic outreach efforts and provides Espericueta with tuition and book assistance.

With the help of South Texas College administrators, State identified Espericueta as the scholarship recipient based on prior academic success and his dedicated interest in the HVACR and plumbing trade.

Espericueta is a full-time student, holds a 3.5 grade point average and is dedicated to the program at South Texas College. “The instructors provide incredible detail in their explanations and offer individual attention to each student,” he remarked.

The scholarship also reinforces State's commitment to supporting the training and education of contractors and technicians. State anticipates that awareness of the scholarship will provide students with visibility into the industry, and will encourage other manufacturers to support students interested in technical careers.
