Vibration Isolation Curb Has Easy Access to Isolators and Improved Weather

Article Tools

The Vibro-Curb from Thybar Corporation has integral, vibration-dampening, spring isolators which may be easily accessed. These curbs provide mounting for rooftop HVACR units. Roofing may be completed at a later date without disturbing the unit which eliminates extra crane or helicopter expenses, sources say. A 2 × 2 wood nailer is provided for attaching roofing felts.

The flexible 9" counter-flashing provides a weather seal while permitting easy access to the isolators. Roofing around spring access ports is not required with the Vibro-Curb. According to company sources, a minimum of 90 percent isolation efficiency is achieved with the isolators.
